Sky High with The USYD Rocketry Team
Jaycar is delighted to be sponsoring the University of Sydney Rocketry Team for their 2023 Season, helping them reach higher with their upcoming project.
USYD Rocketry Team is a highly technical team of student engineers that design, build and test high-powered rockets and agile space technologies. Having achieved first place in both the 30,000ft COTS and Space Dynamics Laboratory Payload challenge at the world’s largest intercollegiate rocketry competition – The 2022 Spaceport America Cup – The USYD Rocketry Team became the first Australian team to win both categories from over 92 university teams worldwide. Furthermore, the team’s phenomenal performance led to the team winning the entire Spaceport America Cup - being named the Overall Winner of 2022.
The USYD Rocketry Team’s mission is to produce high calibre engineering graduates to support the growing space industry in Australia. And with Jaycar’s help, we’ll make sure that they’ll have the support they need to blast off.
