If you are a downloading enthusiast or an IT professional who has accumulated a number of hard drives over the years and want a simple way to access them temporarily this adaptor is the perfect tool. When used with most enclosures and adaptors, SATA hard drives and solid state drives are limited by the speed of USB 2.0. This new USB 3.0 adaptor will take full advantage of the max speed of SATA (3.0Gbps). Transfer files or clone drives in a fraction of the time. Please note your PC must have a USB 3.0 port to support these speeds. Combine with the XC-4149 3.5" HDD enclosure (sold separately) for an easy, convenient backup solution.
