They are designed to take advantage of power over Ethernet to reduce installation costs and setup hassles. You can access the camera through a web browser by hitting in the IP address. A small toggleable control panel pops out so you can move the camera around 3-axis, adjust the visual quality (brightness, contrast, colour), zoom. Snapshots can be taken with ease and the scheduled recording recording feature will capture mov files in H264 format for reviewing later.
