Beam Me Up

Thrash your pay TV for all it's worth by wirelessly transmitting the source signal from your living room.

Want Pay TV in your garage or workshop? Avoid the expense of a multi-room subscription for your pay TV service by using AV senders to beam an HDMI signal to other areas of your home. Simply connect the transmission unit to the host device, then plug the receiver into the secondary device (or devices).

Some transmitters have an impressive line-of-sight range up to 30m, and by purchasing an extra receiver unit, you can send the signal to multiple rooms at the same time.

What are the connectivity options?

AV senders use either HDMI or composite AV connectors, which means you might be able to breathe new life into that old CRT telly languishing in a corner of the garage. If your receiver features HDMI output and you want to connect a TV that only has RCA connectors, don’t despair! All you need is an HDMI to composite converter.

What about the remote?

There’s no need for concern: many units support the transmission of IR data from the remote to the signal source. If your model doesn’t, you can always purchase a standalone extender.
