Overview

With 2 watts of output power, this UHF transceiver is certainly no toy. This high-quality unit will suit many professional and leisure activities and able to provide a range of up to 10km line-of-sight. You can save battery power by switching to the low setting (500mW) for local communications (such as around the campsite). Of course, it has all the functions you'd expect, like CTCSS and 38 channels, plus it has a rechargeable Li-Ion battery with a plugpack charger.

Note: CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) allows users on a shared channel to reduce interference from other users. When more than one user or group is on the same channel, CTCSS filters out other users if they are using a different CTCSS code or no CTCSS.
