An advanced 4 way switcher which allows you to switch between four HDMI sources to one HDMI equipped display. It features ARC (Audio Return Channel) functionality which, in short, eliminates the need to connect a separate audio cable from your TV to your sound system. As an example, to get audio from your TV to your home theatre audio system you might have to use a TOSLINK cable. With ARC you would require no extra cable other than the existing HDMI cable between the TV and home theatre audio system. The TV becomes the hub in a sense, controlling the audio output from all sources. If your devices don't support this there is still a TOSLINK and 3.5mm stereo socket for connection between TV and sound system.
Video resolution support is vast, the unit can output resolutions up to and including 4K x 2K, 3D, 1080p, 720p etc. Popular digital audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1ch are also supported. Switching sources can be done with the supplied remote control or with the buttons on the unit. LEDs indicate which inputs are active, whether the ARC function is enabled, and what audio is connected (7.1 / 5.1 / 2.0 channels).
Note: Audio Return Channel requires both your TV and audio system support HDMI 1.4.
